If you can spare just a little time, we can promise you that it will be well spent. Virtually everything we do in the Delaware Chapter is done by volunteers, people just like you. If you see a volunteering opportunity that interests you, or you would just like to become more involved, please let us know.

On May 15th, grassroots leaders and climate activists will rally in Washington DC and call on President Obama to stop all new offshore drilling in the Arctic, Atlantic and in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Delaware Chapter Conservation Committee will meet on Thursday, May 12th at 6pm. All chapter members are welcome and encouraged to join the Conservation Committee, share their ideas and opinions, and contribute their energy and enthusiasm to our conservation campaigns.
Celebrate Earth Day during your lunch break on Friday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors to Rodney Square will enjoy giveaways, raffles and pick up information from local conservation groups and green businesses-including your Delaware Sierra Club chapter!. Attendees will also take home a free native plant (while supplies last). Kids can also enjoy tree-themed fun at the nearby Wilmington library.
Are you new to the Sierra Club? Or maybe your a veteran Sierra Club activists who's looking to learn more about what's going on here in Delaware and get involved? No matter what your level of familiarity with the club, if you're interested in protecting Delaware's environment for current and future generations this meeting is for you!
Stand in solidarity with Middletown Residents' concerned about their health, saftey and environment to show your opposition to the proposed natural gas power plant near the center of downtown Middletown! Signs will be provided, but you are also welcome to bring your own. Please dress for the weather (you should bring gloves).

We have a fantastic chapter treasurer and we are looking for a volunteer with basic accounting skills to serve as our assistant treasurer to help her out and potentially take over if/when she retires as treasurer.
This festival celebrates horseshoe crabs and migrating shorebirds, long considered to be a natural wonder of Delaware Bay!

People's Festival 4 Peace, July 26th
We will have a table at this year's People's Festival, Wilmington's premier music festival--a tribute to Bob Marley! Volunteers are needed for shifts Saturday, July 26th from 12-6pm to hang out at our table and give interested visitors more information about Delaware Sierra Club.
