We invite you to join the Sierra Club's work to educate about and advocate for sustainable energy policies.
The following letter to the editor appeared in the September 12 edition of The News Journal.
I know that it has become customary to think that everybody’s opinion on climate change is as good as anybody else’s, that there’s no such thing as scientific expertise, but people who study something as a career and become experts are more believable and should be respected. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry with an opinion should not be given equal hearing and consideration in comparison.

In the last week of August I travelled to San Francisco, CA to join about 900 “Climate Leaders” to be trained by Nobel laureate and former VP Al Gore. Mr. Gore and a host of other VIP’s spoke to the urgency of the climate crisis, what we can and must do and just how to talk to regular people about both.
This was Al Gore’s 21st training for Climate Reality Project (formerly The Climate Project). 47 States and 58 countries were represented! I met awesome people from Ghana to Australia.
