BPA Bill protects children's health
Article

On June 30, 2011 Governor Markell signed into Law SA 1 to SB 70, which prohibits the chemical bisphenol-A in certain children's products, including bottles, cups, and other food and beverage containers. Bisphenol-A, commonly known as BPA, is a chemical used to harden plastic that is found in many food storage containers. BPA is a known hormone disruptor, and small amounts that leach from containers into foods and liquids are sufficient to cause health problems.
