Beaver Valley Rezoning Hearing - 5:30pm
Join us and Beaver Valley Conservancy on Tuesday (May 14th) for fun, music, friendship and activism at the tailgate to Save Beaver Valley. The tailgating and petition signature gathering will start at 5:30pm and the Rezoning hearing inside the Garnet Valley Middle School Auditorium will begin at 7pm. Please bring written comments to leave with the Board Supervisors and/or signs expressing your disapproval, as we are not expecting everyone to be granted the opportunity to speak. The Beaver Valley Conservancy is encouraging folks to wear green to silently show their solidarity in support for open space.

Members from all walks of life have joined together to help preserve 324 acres of pristine property in beautiful Beaver Valley currently belonging to Woodlawn Trustees.
Located in Concord Township, PA west of US Route 202 and just North of the DE state line and new National Monument, this area has been carefully protected by Woodlawn Trustees as a wildlife refuge for, in some cases, 50 years or more. The open space supports a host of wildlife including bald eagles, owls, hawks, fox, deer, raccoons, skunks, turtles, birds and more, even endangered bog turtles and other protected species.
Unfortunately Woodlawn has tried to sell off the property under a veil of secrecy in the last year or so. Currently proposed are 3 large residential developments (400+ houses) and an 180,000 square foot commercial (big box store) building. Fortunately, in order to fully develop the area, Woodlawn will need a zoning change.
This rezoning decision lies within the hands of the 5 members of the Concord Township Zoning Board. You can contact the Supervisors in advance of the hearing at:
