Advocacy Training Workshop prepares advocates to take action
Delaware's enronmental advocates have a new resource to help them prepare for the challenges of protecting and restoring the environment, an Advocacy Training Workshop developed by the Dave Carter and Amy Roe with the Southern New Castle County Alliance. Grant funds provided by the Greenwatch Institute enabled the first workshop, held at the Blackbird Creek Reserve, to train advocates in message development, recuriting volunteers, outreach plans, lobbying and testifying, and multi-media resources. Participants ranged from experienced advocates to those relatively new to advocacy. We are looking forward to future training workshops that will prepare more advocates for action!
