The Delaware Chapter has been asked to develop a natural gas policy for our chapter and to recommend to the national Sierra Club. This Club Forum will assist our local chapter in developing a policy through a meaningful discussion of the implications of natural gas on our fuel supply, environment and health. Delaware City Air Monitoring Results, May 19, 2012
Delaware City Environmental Coalition will be discussing the results of our 2 weeks of independent air monitoring. Air was monitored in 2011 and 2012 for 2 weeks each. The first two weeks was prior to the refinery re-opening and the second round was this past year, when the refinery was in full operation. The goal was to see what people are breathing in residential locations.

The Delaware Chapter of the Sierra Club, along with Citizens Coalition and Southern New Castle County Alliance has appealed the October 27, 2011 decision by the Delaware Superior Court for a decision pertaining to a permit issued by the Coastal Zone Industrial Control Board under the Coastal Zone Act.
