We will be discussing the next actions in the air pollution monitoring program, also known as the "Bucket Brigade," as well as the upcoming permits for the proposed expansion of the Delaware City Refinery.
Club Forum: Natural Gas and Fracking, June 13, 2012
The Delaware Chapter has been asked to develop a natural gas policy for our chapter and to recommend to the national Sierra Club. This Club Forum will assist our local chapter in developing a policy through a meaningful discussion of the implications of natural gas on our fuel supply, environment and health. Join us for a discussion of the need to ban the shark fin trade in the Delaware Legislature. Hetti Brown from the Delaware Chapter of the Humane Society of the United States will be sharing her passion for protecting sharks with us.

Delaware City Air Monitoring Results, May 19, 2012
Delaware City Environmental Coalition will be discussing the results of our 2 weeks of independent air monitoring. Air was monitored in 2011 and 2012 for 2 weeks each. The first two weeks was prior to the refinery re-opening and the second round was this past year, when the refinery was in full operation. The goal was to see what people are breathing in residential locations.
