Grateful for Sunshine on National Food Day
A grateful group gathered at Immanuel Union United Methodist Church at Cheswold, Delaware on Wednesday, October 24th in a beautiful fellowship hall to celebrate food and to learn about "re-health-ing" local food systems.
"Songs arise in a garden;
Gardens are places where we feel the need
To express our thanks and our hope."
The Sierra Club's volunteer and outreach coordinator Stephanie Herron was invited to give a talk about Hydraulic Fracturing by Pacem in Terris’ “Young Peacemakers”, a group that was recently formed to bring young people together around issues of social and environmental justice. The group meets monthly over pizza to discuss issues and build a community of socially concerned individuals and this month’s topic was fracking.
