It was a blustery day on Jan 31, 2013 when Stephanie and Amy visited Flexera's installation of a large 11.25 kW solar panel installation for the Delaware Sierra Club's Solar Homes program in Middletown.
With each installation through our partnership, Flexera makes a $500 donation to the Delaware Chapter to assist in our environmental conservation and outreach work.

Governor Markell's Executive Order 36 charges all departments, including the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, with a "focused and targeted review of areas in which existing regulations may be reduced or streamlined..."
Take Action! Your attendance at these public hearings is needed to show support for the value of environmental regulations in protecting our environment, our health and our quality of life.
On January 15, 2013 DNREC held a public hearing for Delaware City Refining Company’s Olefins Restart Application. This project would restart the Olefins Unit, which has been out of service since May 2001, to produce a compound called “nonene.”
On December 3, 2013 the Delaware Chapter of the Sierra Club requested this public hearing for this project, but confirmation that there was a public hearing was only provided on the morning of the hearing, less than 9 hours in advance.
