We'll need as many clean air advocates as possible to submit comments in support of the proposed adoption of the LEV III CA Clean Cars Program and to also urge the Department to do more to protect air quality and climate stability by also adopting the ZEV standards. The Sierra Club’s national organization today named Middletown-area resident Debbie M. Heaton winner of the group’s 2013 William E. Colby Award, one of its top volunteer honors and an award that recognizes “outstanding leadership, dedication and service.”
Heaton, 55, was a longtime committee chairwoman with Sierra’s Delaware Chapter as well as an active leader nationally, and is a former director of philanthropy for The Nature Conservancy in Delaware.
