Are you interested in learning more about whether installing solar panels on your home is right for you? How much renewable energy capacity you need? Can you even afford to install solar on your roof or in your yard? Join us for a Solar Homes Educational Workshop with Flexera, our Delaware-based Solar Homes partner.
Delaware, along with every other East coast state participated in the 4th Annual Hands Across the Sand on Saturday, May 18th. We joined hands in solidarity with thousands of others in 18 states and 9 countries to say YES to clean energy and NO to more dirty fossil fuels and offshore drilling! Our Delaware-specific cause was offshore seismic testing. The US Department of the Interior is currently deciding if seismic airgun testing should be allowed to search for oil and gas in the Atlantic Ocean from Delaware down to Florida.
Join us and Beaver Valley Conservancy on Tuesday (May 14th) for fun, music, friendship and activism at the tailgate to Save Beaver Valley. The tailgating and petition signature gathering will start at 5:30pm and the Rezoning hearing inside the Garnet Valley Middle School Auditorium will begin at 7pm. Please bring written comments to leave with the Board Supervisors and/or signs expressing your disapproval, as we are not expecting everyone to be granted the opportunity to speak.
